Children don’t understand what no means until they’re parents teach them. There isn’t “no” in heaven or in the Kingdom. Let’s get into a “yes” mode.

Heaven is where the Kingdom of God has no resistance. No one there is talking about sin. We need to have that same focus to establish heaven on earth.

2 Corinthians 8:7-9

Context in chapters 8 and 9 is money. God talks more about money than heaven and he’ll put together. Money isn’t the goal. Freedom is the goal. Truth will make you free. John 8, and John 17:17.

Definition of freedom.... what am I looking for? If I don’t know what I’m looking for, I won’t know how to get there. You tend to define things by your current existence. What does God mean by freedom? He has no beginning of end... knows no zero. We need an eternal definition. God doesn’t know bondage, so freedom doesn’t reference bondage. Freedom is doing the highest thing ever imaginable. No limitation. Wealth has to be a part of it.

Only two kingdoms: light and darkness. One of those is influencing my definition of things.

When you try to figure out things of God on your own, your universe isn’t ready for it. Just ask Him. But when He tells you, you can’t still hang on to your own ideas.

We have trouble understanding what wealth really means because of problems with our identity. Poverty mindset creates a bitterness against wealth.

2 Corinthians 9:8

The gospel is free, but the only way to share it effectively is through the prosperity mindset. It takes money. It’s selfish of me to have just enough.

If Bill Gates gave you a blank check and said to fill in the amount and spend it on whatever you want. What would you be comfortable with? What if it was written to the church instead? Do you think the church is more worthy than you? This mentality of wealth was never issued in the Old Testament. Jewfish people knew their covenant with God which included wealth.

Hebrews 11:11

God’s will is never small. It’s not His nature. It was when Sara’s perspective changed that the promise came. Why did it take her so long? She didn’t judge herself worthy to be faithful to.

James 1:16-17

If you don’t settle the goodness of God in your life you won’t have faith for it.

James 1:5

God gives liberally to all.

Mark 4... stages of the same heart.

Ephesians 2:4-8

God is excessive. El Shaddai: God of more than enough.

Until He took care of my sin, I couldn’t receive His kindness.

Mark young ruler. Jesus was trying to add to him, not take away.

Greed and covetousness come from a lack or need based mindset.

This is about breaking you free from natural supply.

Like 15:11-32

Does the father’s heart ever change? Not even when he knew the younger brother was going to be stupid with the money. Both brothers have a problem receiving. They are receiving based on behavior instead of identity.

Does my identity determine what I receive or does my behavior?

I have to humble myself to my identity in the Word.

If we want to honor the Father, we have to get over ourselves.
