Spiritual Hydration

I’m going to preach this attempting to move you past whatever could hold you back

Worship brings in God's Presence

  • When God's Presence comes God's kingdom comes

Psalms 22:3 KJV But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

  • Psalms 22:3 YLT And Thou [art] holy, Sitting — the Praise of Israel.

Inhabits in Hebrew - to sit down; by implication, to dwell, to remain; causatively, establish

John 4:23-24 NAS 23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.  24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

  • If we want “on earth as it is in heaven”, here’s what it looks like in heaven:
  • John describes what Isaiah saw in Isaiah 6

Revelation 4:8-11 NAS 8 And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME." 9 And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created."

Does God build robots that have no choice in both man and angels?

Why would the creatures surrounding the throne fall in worship like they do?

Because they see God as He is, in all His glory

This is why they cry out what they do

Definition of Worship:

  1. show reverence and adoration for (a deity).
  2. treat (someone or something) with the reverence and adoration appropriate to a deity.
    • synonyms: revere, reverence, honor, adore, praise, exalt, extol

There is an outer expression to our love

Who taught you something was embarrassing

We always want to understand why we're doing something

  • That limits God to our understanding

We want to fit everything into our organized schedule and move through the list of events so we can accomplish the completion of the goal.

  • Sometimes the goal is making contact with God or being filled up or just being with Him

  • We are either worshiping God or ourselves:

Romans 1:21-23 NLT 21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

  • Some worship is in the natural
    • Natural dancing, shouting, laughing, celebrating
  • Some worship is spiritual
    • In response to contact with the Father

What Is Dehydration?

  • Water makes up at least two-thirds of the human body.
    • It plays a large part in your normal functions, such as lubricating your joints and eyes, keeping your skin healthy by eliminating toxins, and facilitating proper digestion.
  • If your body has lost one to two percent of its entire water content, you will feel thirsty.

Signs and Symptoms of Dehydration

Here are some of the symptoms of dehydration:

  • Sleepiness or tiredness (spiritual energy)
  • Irritability (love walk not there)
  • Confusion (can’t think rationally)
  • Headache (helmet of salvation gone)
  • Dizziness or lightheadedness (spiritual balance)
  • Few or no tears when crying (emotional output)
  • Muscle cramps (spiritual walk affected)
  • In serious cases, delirium or unconsciousness

Infants are more vulnerable to dehydration, that's why immediate attention must be given to them especially if you see these symptoms

Who Is Most at Risk of Dehydration?

  • While everyone is prone to dehydration, there are people who are at a high risk for it like those who engage in mountain climbing.
    • It is especially hard for hikers to stay hydrated because the pressure in high altitude places makes them lose more sweat and breathe harder.
  • Athletes, particularly those who are involved in marathons, triathlons, and cycling tournaments, are also predisposed to dehydration.
    • The longer they exercise, the more they lose water in their bodies.
  • One study even revealed that dehydration can affect basketball players' performance.
    • The result showed that when there's an increase in dehydration, skill performance decreases.

How to Prevent Dehydration

Since dehydration can be a life-threatening condition, it is important that you replenish your body with water immediately after you've lost so much.

  • Always bring a bottle of water with you during exercise or any physical activity, especially when the temperature is high.
