How do angels and even Jesus show up in a Muslim’s home and tell them about salvation?

  • And, how does God select who gets to be told?

  • Those who are hungry for the truth

A young missionary named Daniel moved to the Middle East to work with Muslim Syrian refugees.

"They go house to house and visit these Muslim families and sit with them and talk with them and find out their names, their stories, and love them. As trust is built, they begin to open up about the Gospel."

One afternoon Daniel walked into a white tent with a family of eight people inside. "Hi I'm Daniel and I'm here to tell you about Jesus," he announced.

The family freaked out, they looked at each other, almost turned white.

What's going on? Daniel wondered.

The interpreter explained that the night before Daniel's visit the whole family was sitting in their tent having tea together and a man in white opened the door to their tent and stood at the entrance. The man was glowing.

"Hello, My name is Jesus and I am sending a man tomorrow named Daniel to tell you more about me." Then he disappeared.

So when Daniel arrived at their doorway and told them his name, they were completely undone. "They asked him to tell them more about Jesus and he gave then the Gospel and the whole family gave their lives to Jesus," Connell reports.

How does God show up in NW Kansas to reveal Himself to me and speak to me?

How does God show up to many of you and reveal Himself?

  • Because we were hungry for the truth

  • Because God saw we were hungry enough for the truth we would obey it.

The last days are marked by a prophecy in Matthew 24:12 NAS Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.

1 John 3:4 NAS Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

Matthew 7:21-23 NAS 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.  22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'  23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

  • Kingdom entrance is three different facets:

    • Birth into it

    • Abundant life in it

    • Inheritance of it

      • Accessing cross purchased kingdom benefits will not get you the kingdom

Self Will is rampant in our day

  • It started from a lack of child discipline

  • It endures by a lack of humbling ourselves to obey the truth

In many instances I had to choose the truth in a matter over my feelings or wants.

If a person does not know God's will or truth, does that mean that neither exists?

  • Because we don’t know His will or truth and we’re out of it will we still incur the negative repercussions of being out of His will of in violation of His truth?

    • We are responsible for what we don’t know

    • What we don’t know can hurt us

      • My people perish for lack of knowledge

God’s designed system is that that when things don't work there is a reason.

That reason usually is because we are not following God's ways.

God puts it on us to seek him to find out his ways and his will.

He promises that if we do seek it will be found.

Here is a fundamental key in the entire bible:

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 & 15 NAS 1 Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 "All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God:

15 "But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 NAS 7 For the mystery (secret working) of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

People are made ready for God’s kingdom by obedience

People are made ready for the devil’s kingdom by rejection of the truth

Are we obeying the authorities above us?

If we can’t obey the seen authorities how are we to obey the authority of the unseen kingdom
