Love is the Highest

After reading the Old Testament and the book of Revelation

  • Two parts of the bible that look harsh
  • The OT with God killing masses and sending prophets with fiery words
  • Revelation with all the judgement and annihilation
    • All I saw was a loving Father continually reaching out to His children and offering them an amazing future.

1 John 4:15-21 NAS 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us. 20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.

The possessing of our promise land goes through LOVE

  • Map of promise land

When we view God's word through love it reads way different than when we view it through an angry at humanity God

When we process the prophetic the same way the results are always bad

Love is to be directed at people

God's value on a soul is enormous

Luke 6:27-35 NAS 27 "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,  28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.  29 "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.  30 "Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.  31 "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.  32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.  33 "If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.  34 "If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount.  35 "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

A person does a horrible thing

Do we hate the person because of the thing

Or do we hate the thing and love the person

We often think that love is the dismissal of wrong

$$ hate increases in the last days

The day I jumped off the cliff of love

It was scary because it was unsafe

To love others with no chance of reciprocation

“Won’t I get hurt by opening my heart to love?”
