Ephesians 4:19 & 11-16 NAS 1 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. 8 Therefore it says, “when He ascended on high, He led captive a host of captives, and He gave gifts to men.”

11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

#1 is food

Feeding station

John 6:68 NAS Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

Genesis 41:46-49 53 & 57 NAS 46 Now Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt. 47 During the seven years of plenty the land brought forth abundantly. 48 So he gathered all the food of these seven years which occurred in the land of Egypt and placed the food in the cities; he placed in every city the food from its own surrounding fields. 49 Thus Joseph stored up grain in great abundance like the sand of the sea, until he stopped measuring it, for it was beyond measure.

53 When the seven years of plenty which had been in the land of Egypt came to an end, 54 and the seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said, then there was famine in all the lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. 55 So when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried out to Pharaoh for bread; and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, "Go to Joseph; whatever he says to you, you shall do." 56 When the famine was spread over all the face of the earth, then Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians; and the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. 57 The people of all the earth came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the earth.

LFMC is apostolic

The fivefold ministry offices are divided as such:

  • The teacher, pastor & evangelist are mothering or body offices
  • The prophet & apostle are Father voice offices
    • Our society has become politically correct against the Father’s voice of reason

Because of the insecurities, desire for church societal approval & desire for money the body offices shield the church from the two Father voice offices.

  • This is done in households where the children are protected by a mother from the Father’s voice & discipline

Church is not socialistic

  • Yes, we’re supposed to help the needy as a hand up
  • Everything is not equal and fair in qualifying for God’s kingdom
  • Everything is not equal in possessing the promises

Bring your supply

  • Ephesians 4:16 NAS 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Stages of growth:

  1. Baby (nothing required with childish outbursts to communicate)
  2. Toddler (little required with childish outbursts beginning to be challenged)
  3. Child (adult behavior taught and childish behavior punished)
  4. Teen (adult behavior required with privilege given for mature behavior)
  5. Adult (the steady outflow of mature composure, thought & beliefs)
  • As with a natural child we train them from a baby to be mature.

Pastor machine pays to care for people

  • At McDonalds just because the owner doesn’t serve you your food doesn’t mean he doesn’t want you taken care of.
  • Many in church are responding out of immaturity by thinking someone should take care of them.
    • Maturity is to manage offenses and seek out what you need.

Entry steps into the church:

  1. Rescue from darkness & bondage
    1. Everyone is courted & accepted
  2. Rehab & recovery from past system
    1. Staying in the system is key in this stage
  3. Discipleship towards maturity
    1. This stage requires work & learning
    2. The courting & nurturing rarely happens here
  4. Own the house
    1. Be an extension of the Father
    2. You should be actively reaching out
