Resurrection Power

God is changing things and He's allowing us to be a part of that history.

Need to go through the cross and to the throne room so we can walk in that resurrection power.

Revelation 13:8, the cross took place at a specific point in linear time, but Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Was always God's plan. It's always been about the blood. Never been about us doing it right.

We can't put God in man's box. I cannot filter Him through me. I have to change to fit into His image.

1 Peter 1:17-21, Two options. Being transformed by God, or by the traditions of my father or past experiences.

Airplane example... when all I know is cars, I drive the airplane around on the ground and get frustrated when it doesn't fit well into that paradigm. That's why christians are frustrated. Life should look like heaven on earth.

Followers are different than disciples.

The gospel is supposed to be revolutionary by design. One kingdom confronting another. War can't be politically correct and diluted down to "seeker friendly." God is not a weeny. Doesn't need to tip-toe around or apologize for anything.

Get used to being rejected like Jesus was was. Don't treat Holy Ghost like your weird aunt that you love, but hide.

Power should be up so high that we don't have to dumb down the gospel.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25

Wisdom of men is foolishness to God. God knew and intended the cross to change the world forever. To be totally free from government of this world (spiritual forces.)

1 Corinthians 2:6... Education will not trump the blood of Jesus. Jews represented believers, Greeks represented the world. Jews sought signs, Greeks for wisdom. Crucifixion was a death of the cursed. Offended the Jews.

David / King Saul... King Saul was what the people asked for. God warned them, but gave them what they wanted. The sign. Was never from God. The lower way, not the higher way. Cost them every time.

Can we see the supernatural in the natural? The extraordinary in the ordinary? Do we need a goosebump?

Difference in American hunger and African hunger. Will we eat anything He gives us, or are we picking and choosing?

We need to gage success through eternal eyes, not natural eyes. God's ability, not ours.

Matthew 25:24-40, Resume He's looking for.

Today... was I faithful with what God told me to do, through grace? Anything else I put under the blood.

Philippians 3:1-11, Your "resume" may cost you if you don't cut off those things.

There's a generation that has to walk in resurrection power. Need to go through the cross.

What does it look like to be in daily relationship with Jesus? And then go through the experience of the cross?

Galatians 2:20, freedom, though still in the flesh.

Cross has to be the filter of my identity. No longer I, but Christ who lives in me.

Galatians 6:14-15, Only thing that matters... am I a new creation? What were the disciples going through at the cross? What were the emotions? They watched their hope die. We can walk past that and come out free in resurrection power. That's the goal.
