Description

Magnify

Psalms 34:1-3 NAS 1 I will bless the Lord at all times;

His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul will make its boast in the Lord;

The humble will hear it and rejoice.

3 O magnify the Lord with me,

And let us exalt His name together.

Magnify (Strong’s) halal (haw-lal'); a primitive root; to be clear (orig. of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence, to make a show, to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causatively, to celebrate;

Magnify (Dictionary)

  • Make (something) appear larger than it is, especially with a lens or microscope.
  • Increase or exaggerate the importance or effect of.

Doc – Increase the size of something to make it clear

Psalms 69:30-31 AMP 30 I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving, 31 And it will please the Lord better than an ox or a bullock that has horns and hoofs.

Psalms 40:16 NAS Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, "The Lord be magnified!"

Seth – He was magnifying the bad

Look what happens when you magnify the Lord…

Psalms 34:4-8 NAS 4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me,

And delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked to Him and were radiant,

And their faces will never be ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him

And saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,

And rescues them.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good;

How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
